Symel GIF Cartoon Nine: The Revenge of the Yellow Dog

If you are using a graphical browser then there is a problem on my site, if you are using a text based browser then this is normal. Here is a text version of the cartoon (speech in capitals): you see a middle aged dorky looking guy and a young stupid looking guy, they introduce themselves as a Mac and a PC. Then a yellow canine enters the room, and introduces itself as Yellow Dog GNU/Linux of the old Power PC Macs, enraged at Apple's move to Intel, it furiously attacks Mac, with a very amused PC. Fading out it is revealed that Symel herself is making a mock ad on her computer.

Comments: I have always hated those "I'm a Mac, and I'm a PC" ads, they are very annoying and very misleading. The background for this cartoon is this: Yellow Dog GNU/Linux was the primary distribution for the Macintosh until Apple moved to start using inferior Intel hardware (Y.D. is still one off the top ones for the PowerPC). Naturally, the dog would be upset...

Here is a spoof of the same ads by my older brother's Brogo web comic:
Brogo presenst: Computer Wars. Mac: Hi, I am a Mac. Windows PC: And I am a PC. GNU/Linux PC: And I'm a GNU/Linux PC. Mac: AAAA! My Intel proccesor is making me melt! PC: ARRGH! My Sony battery! GNU/Linux PC: Ha, ha! I don't have either!
Note: GNU/Linux can run on Macintosh computers (and any Intel based computer) and PCs with Sony batteries. Actually, the main point here is that GNU/Linux does not attempt any form of platform lock-in or lock-out like Apple or the Microsoft-PC hardware manufacturers alliance does, so if a type of hardware is found to be bad you can easily attempt to avoid it. The comic is also of course a parody of Apple's move to Intel proccesors which are infamous for overheating problems and the flaming Sony battery incidents.
