Note: GNU/Linux can run on Macintosh computers (and any Intel based computer) and PCs with Sony batteries. Actually, the main point here is that GNU/Linux does not attempt any form of platform lock-in or lock-out like Apple or the Microsoft-PC hardware manufacturers alliance does, so if a type of hardware is found to be bad you can easily attempt to avoid it. The comic is also of course a parody of Apple's move to Intel proccesors which are infamous for overheating problems and the flaming Sony battery incidents.
